Recruiter Checklist.
What to Look for in a Recruiter
Whether you're a candidate or a client, we recommend that
you interview a prospective recruiter thoroughly. Check references
and consider these questions before you begin the process:
- Does the recruiter understand your industry and
market? Do they have proven experience in your area?
- Do you like the style, personality, and integrity
of the recruiter?
- Find out what criteria the firm uses to match candidates
to companies and how well they understand your added value.
- What's the strategy for accepting jobs, or negotiating
compensation packages?
- Does the recruiter have a clear idea of your anticipated
schedule for hiring or making a job change?
- How well will the firm maintain confidentiality for
its clients or candidates?
- Does the recruiter provide references of clients
and candidates?
