Flesher & Associates specializes in placing senior level communications professionals for high-tech corporations and agencies. Typical positions include Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and VPs within Public Relations, Marketing Communications, Corporate Communications, and Corporate Marketing. Our client base includes companies of all sizes, from pre-IPO start-ups to large multi-national, Fortune 1000 corporations in a range of technology industries - from software to semiconductors, communications, computers, and Internet-related businesses. For a detailed look at the companies we have worked with, visit our client roster. To read what candidates say about our firm go to candidate comments.

2. Does Flesher & Associates help place entry level PR and Marcom people?
No. The majority of our searches are for middle to senior management positions requiring at least five years of experience, and often considerably more.

3. I'm in the technology industry but in an area outside of public relations, marketing communications or corporate communications. Can Flesher & Associates help me?
No. We specialize in placing experienced high technology marketing communication and public relations professionals exclusively. We do not place people in sales, business development, product marketing, engineering, or other functional areas. We suggest that you might research the web for a listing of recruiters better able to help you.

4. I've never enlisted the services of a recruiter before. How does it work? What do I need to do?
If you are a high-tech communications professional seeking a new position, your first step is to go to Submit Resume. Complete the Candidate Profile form and send it to us with your resume via e-mail as a Word attachment. If you prefer to send the resume by fax you can do so at (650) 917-9903.

Meanwhile, feel free to also visit our Job Bank section to review our current list of openings. Once you submit your resume, we make every effort to contact you within 48 hours for a preliminary phone interview to discuss your specific career objectives, job history, salary objectives, and high-tech industry experience. Then we will review our open positions with you and if we have a match, and you concur, your background will be presented to the appropriate clients.

5. I submitted my information to your firm, but haven't heard back?
We try very hard to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours. However, if you have not heard from us after a few days, it most likely means that your background did not fit within our specialty and we are probably not an appropriate source for you. We regret that due to the large amount of correspondence we receive, we can only respond to qualified candidates within our area of specialty.

6. When one of your clients expresses an interest in me, what's the next step?
Once a client has expressed an interest, we will contact you to set up the necessary interviews. We will then assist you through the interview process, hopefully culminating in a successful hire. If there is not an immediate match, we will keep your file active as we work on new searches. Please periodically check into our Job Bank to review the latest positions that we are presently working to fill. If you see a potential match and we haven't already called you about it, send us a quick e-mail and we can explore it further.

7. Who pays the placement fee?
The hiring entity (corporation or agency) pays the placement fee. There is no cost to prospective candidates.

8. I live outside the Bay Area and do NOT wish to relocate. Can Flesher & Associates help me?
In general, most of the positions we fill are located in the San Francisco, Silicon Valley, San Jose, and East Bay regions. However, we also fill positions that are out-of-state or internationally based. Please let us know your geographical preferences when you initially contact our office and we can assist as appropriate.

9. I only want to work part-time or do contract work. Can Flesher & Associates help me?
Our primary focus is in placing candidates in full-time positions. However, a few of the companies we work with are open to flextime or part-time employment. Regarding contract work, we occasionally receive a request for contract work, but it is not our focus. Please let us know your preference so we can respond accordingly.
